Looking for Easter games for families that actually get everyone off their phones and laughing together? This one delivers.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays to design for — and honestly, one of the trickiest to plan activities for. The egg hunt lasts about four minutes, the candy disappears before noon, and then everyone’s just… sitting there.
That’s exactly why I created the Easter Saran Wrap Ball Game challenge cards for Fun Joy Studio.
After years of designing printable party games for families through my Etsy shop, Print Joy Studio, I’ve learned something important: the best games are simple to explain, easy to set up, and just chaotic enough to make everyone laugh. This one checks every box.
Whether you’re hosting Easter brunch, planning a classroom party, or organizing a big family gathering, this might be your new favorite Easter tradition.

Some fan favorites:
- Open the ball with your eyes closed
- Wear oven mitts while opening the ball
- Do a bunny impression before you unwrap
- Lucky you! Unwrap until doubles are rolled TWICE
- Name 3 types of Easter candy before unwrapping
- Unwrap the ball behind your back
- “Uh Oh! Your turn is over!”
Yes… that last one always gets dramatic reactions. 🐣
How to Set Up the Easter Saran Wrap Ball Game
One of my favorite things about this game is how simple it is to prepare.
Here’s the quick setup:
- Print and cut the challenge cards. Cardstock is great, but regular paper works too.
- Gather small prizes. Easter candy, stickers, small toys, gift cards, chapstick, cash — anything fun and small.
- Build the ball. Wrap prizes in plastic wrap, layering them into a ball shape. Tuck challenge cards between layers.
- Grab a pair of dice.
- Sit in a circle and start the game.
Pro tip: add upbeat background music. It makes the game feel even more exciting.
Fun Easter Games for Kids: How to Adapt for Younger Players
If you’re playing with little ones, here are a few ways to keep it smooth and fun:
- Make a smaller ball. Fewer layers = faster pace.
- Choose kid-friendly prizes. Stickers, erasers, candy, small Easter toys.
- Let younger kids team up with an adult.
- Help read challenge cards aloud if needed.
This is one of those rare fun Easter games for kids that adults genuinely enjoy just as much.

You don’t have to save it just for Easter Sunday — it works all season long.
