Some people are out here baking cookies for the neighbors. Others have been quietly racking up naughty list points all year. And most of us? We are somewhere in the messy, glorious middle.
This Naughty or Nice Quiz is going to figure out which one you actually are. Ten quick questions. One slightly judgmental verdict. Then if you want real chaos, send it to your group chat and watch the truth come out.
Ready? Take it now.
Where do you really land on Santa's list?
Answer 10 honest (or honest-ish) questions to find out if you're more Scrooge, more Santa, or somewhere fabulous in between. No judgment. Maybe a little judgment.
So… where did you land?
If you got Full Scrooge: respect. The commitment is admirable.
If you got A Little Naughty: this checks out and we love you for it.
If you landed in the middle: that is the most honest answer anyone has ever given on a Christmas personality quiz.
If you got Mostly Nice or Total Santa: you are exactly the friend everyone wants at their party. Please host. Please bring snacks.
Whatever you got, the result is way funnier when you compare it to your people. Which brings us to the next part.
Where the Naughty or Nice List actually comes from
The naughty or nice list is one of those Christmas traditions that lives somewhere between ancient lore and convenient parenting tool. The earliest version traces back hundreds of years to European folklore, when Saint Nicholas and his many regional cousins would reward kind children with treats and leave the difficult ones with a stick, a lump of coal, or in some versions, a visit from a much scarier creature.
Today the list is mostly a fun cultural shorthand. A playful way to tease each other for our holiday behavior. Are you the friend who hosts every party? Probably nice. Are you the friend who always shows up with one bottle of wine for a group of eight? Maybe a little naughty. Both are valid. Both deserve cookies.
The point is the list is not really about whether you are a good or bad person. It is about the small, ridiculous, very human ways we show up at Christmas. Which is exactly why this quiz was built the way it was.
The quiz is fun. The group version is way funnier.
Here is the thing. Taking this Naughty or Nice Quiz alone in bed at midnight is fun. We are not denying that.
But the actual game version, where everyone in your family or friend group is taking it at the same time and the results come out around the dinner table? That is when the chaos starts. That is when someone admits they peeked at every wrapped gift since 2019 and your mom hits them with a look that has been brewing for five years.
That is what the printable Naughty or Nice Game is built for.
How to play the printable Naughty or Nice Game
The printable version is a single-page game that every guest fills out individually, then reveals together. It is one of Print Joy Studio’s most-loved Christmas party printables and a Star Seller pick from a shop with thousands of glowing reviews. Here is how it actually works.
Every player gets the same one-page sheet with two columns. On the left, the Naughty List. Things like Haven’t started shopping yet, Told a little white lie, Came late to a holiday party, Peeked at a gift, Set up a fake tree, Re-gifted a present, Returned a gift for cash, Hates eggnog, Didn’t decorate, Ate Santa’s cookies, Dislikes Christmas music.
On the right, the Nice List. Things like Donated toys, Sent a Christmas card, Put up a real tree, Been a Secret Santa, Makes homemade gifts, Put up lights and decorated, Random acts of kindness, Made treats for neighbors, Gone caroling, Baked cookies, Made a gingerbread house.
Each player checks off every item they have actually done this year. Total up both columns at the bottom of the sheet. Then go around the room and reveal.
Whoever has the highest Naughty total takes the crown for Naughtiest of the Year. Whoever has the highest Nice total wins Nicest of the Year. The fun is in the reveals and the stories. Especially when someone tries to deny they peeked at a gift and three different people at the table immediately call them out.
It works at family Christmas dinners, Friendsmas, office parties, dorm parties, and pretty much any holiday gathering where a few people need an excuse to start laughing.
A few tips that make it really land:
The funniest part is the storytelling. Do not just check boxes silently. Make people explain why they came late to that party or peeked at that gift. The stories are the whole game.
Have one small prize for Naughtiest and one for Nicest. Even silly prizes work great. A candy cane, a chocolate Santa, a small coal-shaped soap. It makes people more competitive than you would expect.
Print one sheet per guest. The download is instant and you can print at home, no special paper needed.
More Christmas games to keep the party going
If your quiz result was on the naughty end, you are going to love the chaotic, slightly competitive games. Christmas Feud and Christmas Most Likely To are perfect for this crowd. Both reward big personalities and bigger reactions.
If you landed somewhere in the middle, you are the host who wants something for everyone. Look at the 20 Christmas Games Bundle. Twenty different game styles in one instant download, so you can match the vibe of every guest in the room.
If you came out as Total Santa, you are already planning a multi-game Christmas extravaganza and we love you for it. The bundle is the obvious move. Twenty themed games, all designed in the same professional style, all ready to print.
Want the full playbook? Our printable Christmas games guide walks through every Christmas game in the shop, with tips on which ones fit your group and how to make any party feel unforgettable.
One last thing
The Naughty or Nice Quiz is fun by yourself. But the actual reveal moment, when the whole table finds out who has been quietly racking up naughty points all year? That is the real Christmas magic.
So take the quiz one more time if you want. Send it to your funniest friend. Then grab the printable Naughty or Nice Game and play it at your next holiday party.
Whatever Santa has on his list this year, you are going to laugh more than you expected.
Happy holidays.
