Thanksgiving dinner has that dead zone. Turkey’s in the oven, the kids are bouncing off the walls, and everyone’s just waiting. This is where Thanksgiving Bingo comes in.

What Thanksgiving Bingo Actually Is

Thanksgiving Bingo is a printable picture bingo game built for exactly that stretch of time between prep and dinner. Each player gets their own 5×7 inch scorecard with a 5×5 grid of Thanksgiving pictures on it: turkeys, pumpkin pie, cozy sweaters, all the good stuff. One person plays caller and pulls a letter and a picture together each round (think “B, Turkey”), and players mark that spot if it matches their card. First one to get five in a row, across, down, or diagonal, calls BINGO and wins. Simple to learn, genuinely fun to play, and it works for basically every age at the table.

What’s Included

This is a print and play digital download, so there’s nothing to wait on. You get:

  • 30 unique 5×7 inch bingo scorecards (2 per page)
  • 25 illustrated picture calling cards
  • 35 letter calling cards
  • A set of optional printable bingo markers (skip digging out chips or candy)
  • A full instructions page so whoever’s hosting can just print and go

How to Play

  1. Print your scorecards, one per player, plus the picture calling cards and letter calling cards.
  2. Cut out the calling cards and split them into two bowls: pictures in one, letters in the other.
  3. Grab markers (candy, buttons, coins, cheerios, whatever’s on hand) or cut out the printable markers included in the set.
  4. Give each player a scorecard and have them cover the FREE space to start.
  5. Pick a caller. Each round, they draw one card from each bowl and call them together, like “N, pumpkin pie.” Players cover that spot if it’s on their card under the matching letter.
  6. Keep drawing new pairs each round. If a bowl runs empty before someone wins, just refill it and keep going.
  7. First player to cover five in a row, in any direction, calls out BINGO and wins. Clear your cards and start a new round.

Tips for Hosting a Bingo Game Everyone Remembers

  • Mix up your win condition instead of always playing straight five in a row. Try four corners, a full blackout, or a diamond shape.
  • Set up a prize table instead of handing out random stuff, and let winners pick their own.
  • Keep rounds to two or three cards per game so nobody’s stuck on the same round for twenty minutes.
  • Use the bonus markers, or grab something themed like mini marshmallows or candy corn, whatever’s already on your counter.
  • If you’ve got the table space, give everyone more than one scorecard. More cards covered means bingo happens faster and the energy stays up.

Why Picture Bingo Works for Any Age

No reading required means your youngest cousins can play right alongside grandma. It’s an easy no-prep activity for the kids table, a good icebreaker before dinner, and honestly a great way to keep everyone off their phones for twenty minutes. Works just as well for Friendsgiving if you want a low-key game that doesn’t need explaining.
